Shown in the photograph are two buildings occupying part of the perimeter of the Grand-Place, which is the central square in Brussels. On the left is Le Sac (in Dutch, Den Sack, or in English, the Bag); on the right is La Brouette (in Dutch, Den Cruywagen, or in English, The Wheelbarrow). Both of them dating from at least the 15th century and rebuilt in the 17th century, La Brouette was the House of the Grease Dealer's Guild, while Le Sac was the House of the Carpenter's Guild.
