This collection contains the full content of Indian Food: A Cookbook of Native Foods from British Columbia, a collection of recipes provided by individuals from several First Nations communities across coastal and interior British Columbia, published by Health and Welfare Canada in 1971. Recipes in the collections are attributed to individuals and locations within British Columbia. Where variants in common names of locations exist, the most recent or widely used variant as it stands today has been used. Names of Nations or Bands included have been associated with these locations and contributors where reasonable using the most up-to-date self-designated spelling/transliteration.
