[description] This letter and report were written after a major flood in Squamish in 1940. The flood occurred in mid-October when five inches of rain accumulated in 24 hours. Downtown Squamish was severely affected and farmers had huge food and livestock losses. The letter and report are advocacy pieces written by the Flood Committee asking for support from the Minister of Public Works. The chairman of the flood committee was J. Fossmark Jacobsen and the secretary was T.L. Rimmer. Page 3 of 7.
