PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the city of Seattle recognizes and appreciates the many businesses and organizations that help drive our economy and community toward success; and
WHEREAS, the Mayflower Park Hotel on Fourth and Olive in downtown Seattle is
one of the last remaining historic hotels in continuous operation since 1927; and
WHEREAS, as a locally owned and operatrd establishment, the Mayflower Park
Hotel ensures that visitors from all over the world who work in and visit
our city receive a sincere Northwest greeting and feel comfortable, and
WHEREAS, on July 16, 2007, friends and family of the Mayflewer Park Hotel
will celebrate the hotel's 80th anniversary and reflect on eight decades of
outstanding service and hospitality;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GREGORY J NICKELS, Mayor of the city of Seattle, do hereby
proclaim July 16, 2007 to be ·
MAYFLOWER PARK HOTEL DAY
in Seattle, and I encourage the community to join me in recognizing this outstanding local business for eighty years of success.
