Description / Synopsis
Gail McCance's 1962 sketchbook, containing set designs for Giuseppe Verdi's "Aida," Giacomo Puccini's "Tosca," and Charles Gounoud's "Faust," as well as notes in McCance's own hand. Also includes budget estimates for the creation of set elements for a Seattle-based production of Verdi's "Aida." Created as a part of the production of Vancouver Opera Association's 1962-1963 season. Includes some ink damage on pages 13-14. Each sketch is rendered in pencil, and varies in detail from schematic to extremely detailed. |
