The housepost created by Susan Point shows "Raven, the Trickster, a mythological character who was present at the creation, faces toward the hall with gleaming eyes of copper, denoting the wealth and the nobility of the coastal people. His eyes protrude from stylized eye sockets that are stained reddish brown, as are the inside of his beak and three crescent shapes on his front. Two dar, pointed crescents arch over the eyes, giving Raven the transformational look of another form or of a mask to be work at ceremonies." "The spindle whorl in the carving is a large circle with a Raven design in black and a reddish brown and natural cedar background. Raven is looking to the left with wings outspread as if to fly away. Inside his wings, two large eyes look out at the viewer, revealing the human spirit that lives within" (p. 46, The First Nations Longhouse)
