Echoes from the Stacks: Borrowing Cards of Music by Underrepresented Groups

Echoes from the Stacks collects the borrowing cards and title pages of music scores by women, Black musicians, immigrants, and other underrepresented composers from UBC’s MAA Library. These records show how their works were accessed and engaged within the UBC community over time. Coming from a period before digital library systems, these cards reveal a rich and often overlooked history of musical diversity that is hidden inside the stacks today.
