Sept. 19, 53. Dear Mr Racey, I see your letter to me of April 16th, remains to be answered – I am indeed sorry for this long delay. Work of one sort and another is responsible including the final stages of the Birds of Ken Since I last wrote to you we have been fortunate enough to acquire a gun in a new marsh shoot, actually a better marsh than those we have had access to in the past few years – it is better I have been wondering how life is with you, I trust that all goes well and that I shall get news of you ere long. I have been looking back over your letters and to how the desiderata position st David is at present serving his time on National Service as a Medical Officer in the R.A.F., and at this moment is sitting in an oasis in the mountains of Trucial Oman; needless to say he is w We are having a Family event this day week when Jeffery gets married; his fiancée, Dr Pamela Carter Brain plays all the games he does, and regularly does the morning flight etc. I don’t think that there is any further news for the time being.
