6542 Lime Street, Vancouver 14, B.C. November 28. 1953. Dr. James M. Harrison, Bowerwood House, St. Botolph's Road, Sevenoaks, Kent, England. Dear Dr Harrison, I am sorry at the great delay in writing, but collecting has been practically a closed book this year due to illness in the family. I have, unfortunately, mislaid your letter written about the [ILLEGIBLE] you despached the parcel of skins last April. They arrived safely and in good order. Many thanks.. How has the new marsh shoot turned out and has it come up to your expectations? I am happy to hear the your son Jeffery is now happily married and I wish the couple all manner of happiness and good luck. What a fine time David must have with a wonderful hobby in which he is so enthusiastic and never a lonesome moment whereever stationed. Please give him my best wishes. A short time ago I sent you a young male Pintail. It was rather badly shot. If of no use to you please fule it in your waster-paper basket. My desiderata list in now almost zero, except that I am very interested in securing specimens of your grouse, partridge, and quail and especially snow buntings if easily available. Am working over a lot of buntings from Alaska, some close to the Siberian coast. Have had to curtail my activities at our University to a large extent and possibly altogether early next year With kindest regards, Yours very sincerely, Kenneth Racey file:///C/Users/outer/Desktop/Harrison-Racey%20Uploads/ACCESS%20FILES%20+%20TRANSCRIPT/45.txt[11/25/2025 10:34:29 AM]
