Dear Dr. Harrison;
Thank you for your letter of March 7th. which I was pleased to receive.
I have checked over the ducks you refer to and I would like to have a pair of Garganey and a pair of Common Scoters
and for these I will send you the Male Hooded Merganser already referred to and a very nice pair of Western Harlequin
Duck. These I will hold until I hear from you if agreeable.
Regarding recently collected specimens. Your statement that they are good specimens is quite satistaotory to me.
I am most interested in hearing about the progress of your book on the Birds of Kent and will look forward to its
publication. Will the work be illustrated?
We do not get the Bonaparte Sandpiper here, but I will try and secure a Tringa. incana for you in May when up north.
Do you happen to have a spare specimen of the Razor-billed Auk? I have no example of this bird in my collection. By
the way if I can secure a specimen of the White-winged Crossbill from the east would you like one?
