All women on Caiipus benefit from and are served by the SFU Women's Centre. We provide an enormous variety of services which are of great value to these women. A great deal of the iniormation anc services we provide can only be found at the Women's Centre,anu as a result we are not only essential, but also appreciated. Services whic: may appear to some to overlap those offered by other agencies on campus, do not in fact, because our services are provided in a totally unique environment, as well as in a variety of ways. We provide an atmosphere of feminist support, a service not available anywhere at SFU, or in Burnaby. As you reau the description of services offered and note the amount of work done voiuntarily by many women on campus in order to maintain the Women's Centre, the necessity for the continuos existence of the Centre will become clear. WHAT THE WOMEN'S CENTRE DOES. I.Information Resource. The Women''s Centre maintains, collates and organizes a large variety of information relevant to women amtheir situation. It includes A. A large paperback library collection, a large magazine and pamphlet collection, including newsletters and publications from women's groups «across Canada and the U.S. An extensive file consisting of approximately 100 subjects of interest to wom@m. In addition, we are in the process of compiling a Doctor Directory, in collaboration with the Vancouver Women's Health Collective, which provides information on general practitioners, and gynecologists in the Lower Mainland. B. ihe Women's Centre disseminates this information in two basic ways. We receive approximately 2-10 telepnone requests per hour, and 2-10 eyople visit the Centre per hour to use our information resources. This infor-—
