STEEPROCK TRAILER COURT

Steeprock Trailer Court is taking applica-
tions. The trailer court is due to open
uy and people will be able to move in on
the first of July.

Jo qualify for a lot you must meet all the
trailer court's rules and regulations. If
you can meet all the rules and regulations
‘you can apply at the trailer court from
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:30 p.m. to
(5:30 p.m. On Saturdays and evenings you
mst make an appointment with one of
Steeprock's employees and they will
probably be willing to help you. If your
aplication is accepted the regular rent
is $225 to $240 a month and you must have
it least a one year lease. Steeprock also
has trailer lots for both doublewides and
singlewides. The trailers must be C.S.A.
approved to qualify for the lot. The
regular trailer lot size is about 4000
square feet.

The trailer court will have paved streets,
paved driveways and street lights. The
trailer court will have a storage space
for recreation, vehicles, parks to relax
in, Snow removal during winter and all
dther services like proper sewage and
garbage pickup provided.

of the finest in Canada.

The Dentist's name is Dr. Patricia
Hunter and she has an assistant,

Jane Hunt. She can work on two

people at one time. The dentist

office opened on May 11, last week.

They have had approximately 32 patients.

Dr. Hunter says they're glad to be in
Tumbler Ridge and they want to see a
‘bear and she wants to thank the people
for helping set up the clinic. The
telephone number is 242-3685. The
clinic is located right behind the
Health Clinic.

SCARMAR SETS 3-DAY RECORD

Scarmar, tunnelling contractor on Table
West, set a three day record for distance
bored. From May 13 to 15 they bored 50.4
mtres, an average of 16.8 metres per day.
(Normal average is 11-12 metres per day).

MISS LAURA MAIRS

I interviewed Miss Laura Mairs in her
video shop on Sunday, May 15. The name of
the video shop is "All Star Video". The
hours it is open are 12:00 noon to 9:00
p.m..

Miss Mairs lived in Langley, B.C. before.
What brought her to TR was an opportunity
for a young person to get a start in
business = and the mountains. Her busin-
esses in TR are the video shop and a
vending company.

I asked her if it was hard mixing with
people because she doesn't work for one of
the mining companies. She said no,
because everyone is in the same situation
and they have to make friends with each
other. Some of the activities she does in
TR are being on the volunteer Fire Depart-
ment, Treasurer for the Indoor Swimming
Pool Soceity, joining the Lions Club, and
She's taking an interest in community
events.

The All Star Video is located in Room F of
the Bank Complex. The kinds of equipment
She rents are video recorders (VHS & Beta)
and they have 383 movie titles, most of
which are available in VHS and Beta. Also
they sell Intellivision and Atari Cart-
ridges.
