The soccer executive, ‘ith the help of Bullmoose, le Rec Centre, and volun- er parents, have erected gal posts at both soccer lds. ‘Soccer registration has ped over 190, and a meat deal of work has gone 0 organizing the teams md activities. The Association will be sting three tournaments, ginning with the Pee lee division on June 7, the antam division on June and the Atoms division PORTS soccer news on June 21. concession stand will be eee at the high school field for these events. The Soccer AssoOciation will be wrapping up the year with a ‘Fun Day”’ June 20, from 3:30 till 8:00, which will be held on the high school field. It will be a day of fun and games for the players and the par- ents. A barbecue will also be provided. All funds from the cash tapes donations will go towards purchases for this day. To reward -the young soccer players, each player will receive a team picture and the Tumbler Ridge Soccer Crest. Various businesses in Tumbler Ridge and Daw- son Creek have donated prizes to be drawn at the Fun Day. After games Shasa has been collecting items left at the fields and a lost and found has been set up. For lost items, call 242-5303. Anyone interested in ref- ereeing or helping out, please call Murray at 242- 5197. It sure gives one a good feeling to see all the players in their uniforms and smil- ing faces out on the fields. It is good to see community spirit is alive and well in Tumbler Ridge. The dedi- cation given by all the coaches, team moms, and executive has been great.
