TR'S RCMP On Thursday the 13th I interviewed Mr. Jim Tysowski, he is the RCMP corporal and his partner, Kevin Henderson, the constable, at the TR RCMP Station. The hours they work are four 12-hour shifts and the other 12 hours they are on call. You can con- tact the RCMP at 242-5252 or through the Dawson Creek RCMP at 782-5211. I asked Corporal Tysowski if they were planning on setting up a Block Parent Program. His answer was not at the moment but they will be setting one up as soon as there are a few more permanent residents staying here in houses because right now, the houses children walk by are empty. They will try to have it set up by early fall. The RCMP officers will not’ be bringing their families up here because they will just be up here until the middle of summer and that's when a few permanent officers will be coming out here to live. I asked Cpl. Tysowski if he thought it was safe to have the liquor store next to the school and grocery store. His answer shouldn't be any problem drink. All the people do is go in to buy the booze and leave. What Cpl. Typowski likes about Tumbler Ridge is all the hustle and bustle. Most of the people are working and they try to help each other, also it's always chang- ing. Mark Stock EDITION #
