WE HEL PY O:U-B Uy Ford joins municipal staff by Nancy Perkins On July 7, Leslie Ford assumed the position of deputy clerk-treasurer- collector-business license inspector for the District of Tumbler Ridge. Ford teplaces John Marsh who recently moved to Merrit, felt Tumbler Ridge would be a great place to live and enjoy the outdoors. She added that one aspect that helped her make a decision was that all the people she met, who had lived in Tumbler Ridge or had friends or relatives who had lived there, had been very posi- tive about it and had praised the area for its beauty. Ford is looking forward to the challenge of the job and working with the council and staff. Welcome to all new residents British Columbia. Ford’s credentials in- clude six years experience in auditing and account- ing and her chartered accounts degree. From 1982 through 1986 she worked for Thorne-Ernst and Whin- ‘ty. In 1986 through 1988 she worked at the Dun- Boy Firm. One phase of her duties was the : auditing of municipalities, providing her with the experience necessary for the recently vacated post.
