Li- brary Trustees Associa- tion’s Spring Conference "86 held in Prince George May 23 and 24. This year’s theme was ‘“‘Libraries in Motion”? using computers to automate today’s librar- ies. Guest speakers were brought in from all over B.C. to give seminars on how not to get burned buying an inefficient sys- tem. The conference high- lights included ‘‘Micro- computer Software:Some Library Applications’’ pre- sented by Chris Peppler, Regional Director of the Library Services Branch, Prince George, under the ‘Ministry of the Provincial Secretary and Government Services; Joy Greenley of the Library Services Branch, Prince George; Ron Mackenzie of the Li- brary Services Branch from the Ministry of the Provin- cial Secretary and Govern- ment Services in Victoria; and Lori Messer from Gran- isle Public Library. Leslley Dieno, the Prince and from the level of their performance, it is clear that the students must be working very hard in practice. The joint Elementary and High School Band, lead by instructor Carol Irwin, performed at the Lions Trade Fair on the May 24 weekend. The group did very well, Presentation by Study Tour Club The study group is com- prised of the group of teenagers who toured France and other parts of Europe earlier this year. their personal feelings on the trip and its value to them as people and as students. The students will also be showing slides of their trip and their photo album of the trip will be on display for all to view.
