2 Cormuilly Cvutres. Again, since this is work requiring cOfoszuerudle thought ana asc. cussion as to topic, format and the like, it is important to have a core of people whc regard this as a priority. Office: is at the Labour Temple, 307 West Broadway, Room 6. The office is open on weekdays, staffed on a volunteer basis and we try to have more than one person there for company and so people can get to know each other. If you have one or two days a week free or even a day free irregularly, come in to help out with correspondence, answering questions, etc. It's a good way to find out what's happening, both in Vancouver and across Canada. Women Artists! Co-op: they rent a studio at 137B Water Street (the second floor) whe:: women interested in wide areas of art, media and creative propaganda can work together. They are setting up a library and lounge where we can all relax and socialize. There is no phone; if you are interested just drop in. Women's Liberation Guerilla Theatre: does mime and short satirical pieces, both on women’s issues and on other topical subjects. They perform anywhere and everywhere-— both by invitation and by inclination. The women in these groups do not work and think about their specific project ar area only. Whenever we try to deal with one aspect alone of women's oppression, we find that the other areas must be considered, discussed and dealt with. This is done, we hope, by general discussions within the groups themselves and by the exchange of information that takes place at the monthly general meeting. Also participation in the educationals, either by discussion or preparation of a topic, is another way that we keep in contact with a total view. You can get involved in any of the present groups by phoning the numbers at the end of this guide or by signing up (at an educational, general meeting or in the office) and you will be notified of meetings. There is a need for many more groups, particularly in important areas where no one is now working. For example, the problem of what kind of organization and what kind of issues are most relevant to mothers with young children is an urgent one. Day care is another important issue, connected perhaps with the previous one. Organizatic around the schools: curriculum, teacher attitudes, rules, etc., is another. A caucus of high school women may also be possible soon. If there is no group now functioning that interests you, then clearly we need a new one that does satisfy your need. The experience of most of the people now active has been that alone we don't accomplish very much but that even three or four women, working together, can accomplish fantastic things. The areas for work in women's liberation are innumerable, limited only by our imagination. If you want to get involved in some area where no group is working, call the offi: and leave your name and interest or come to a coordinating committee meeting or simp]; ask at a general meeting for other people to meet with you. With a de-centralized organization like Women's Caucus, it is important for interested people to take initi-. tive in expressing their interest. The coordinating committee will do their best to get people together in areas of common interest but if they miss, keep after them. The individual groups themselves determine their own internal structure, meeting times, etc. The coordinating committee consists of representatives from each group. The length of the term of office of these representatives are decided by their groups
