The Grizzly Valley Saddle Club is looking very neat and tidy as the club is preparing for the Grizzly Valley Saddle Club Rodeo to be held August 20-21. In the foreground are Rodeo history Tumbler Ridge is fortu- nate in being a small town that is able to enjoy having a local rodeo. For the third year, the Grizzly Valley Rodeo will be held, establishing its place in the long history of rodeos. 19th hole news Good news for you avid golfers out there! Tumbler Ridge Golf and Country Club will be playable in September! The irrigation system is installed, seeding is taking place and tees are estab- lished. The greens are being groomed, and with a little help from Mother Nature in the form of sunshine, the fairways will be in good condition to play our first game soon. The driving range has been operational all sum- mer long and there is talk of having a longest-drive competition. Get some practice in now! Designs for the clubhouse are un- derway, and proposals for funding are being submit- ted. The only problem we are experiencing to date is the range ball scavengers. We know it’s not the ravens, so if you have any information please pass it on.
