auxiliary news The Ladies’ Auxiliary to the Health Centre en- joyed another successful year. Their aim is to raise funds for the equipment for the Health Centre, and they have been most fruit- ful in this end. There have been many fundraisers and _ events held throughout the year, including raffles, the bake and pottery sale and oth- ers. The support of the residents has lent greatly to their success. They would like to thank every- one who has helped them throughout the past year. Their annual walkathon was the final fundraising event of the season. Twen- ty or more people came out to support the event, including Harley, the Irish Wolfhound, who gave the walk an extra special touch. The proceeds, to date, from the walkathon have surpassed last year with a total of $574.50. A special thank you to all who participated and support- ed the walk. The ladies will start up again in the fall. Any and all new members are wel- come to this group, who not only raise funds, but enjoy themselves while doing it.
