Telephone

Mr. J. Burgess, District
Supervisor for Government Telegraph
from Campbell River came to. Sointula
last Wednesday with two other men
to take a survey of needed telephone
expansion for Sointula. ‘Result of
the survey showed that approximat:ly
sixty people want phones. That
many ohones necossitate a local

' telephone central.

Mr. Burgess informed me that
in sending his report to Ottawa he
would recommend a central with a
sixteen hour a day service. So
now he has done his part it just
remains for us to hear what decision
Ottawa reaches.
