RULES AND CONDITION OF ENTRY All competitors(Choirs, Chamber Ensembles and Soloists) must give notification of their desire to enter on an official Entry Form. A separate Entry Form must be used for each entry. Choirs and Groups must use Form ‘‘A’’, and Soloists must use Form ‘‘B’’. Entry Form ‘‘A’’ must be sent to reach the Office of the International Choral Kathaumixw, Box 334, Powell River, B.C., Canada, V8A 5C2, on or before March 1, 1984. Entry Form ‘‘B’’ must be sent to reach the Office of the International Choral Kathaumixw, Box 334, Powell River, B.C., Canada, V8A 5C2, on or before May 1, 1984. All competitors must send two copies of their own selected test piece(s) to the Music Director, not later than 15th. May, 1984. If any work is in manuscript or unpublished, an undertaking must be given that written permission has been obtained from the copyright owners for its free performance in competition. Photocopies of published works can only be accepted when accompanied by authorization of the publisher. All Entry Forms should be submitted as soon as possible, but competitors should await notification of acceptance before making final arrangements. Notification of acceptance, or otherwise, of entries for Group competitions, will normally be sent before the end of March; and in May for all Solo competitions. All competitors, except the choir conductors and accompanists, must be amateurs, i.e. people who do not earn their principal livelihood by music-making. Where maximum ages are stipulated, competitors are not eligible who have reached their 16th. or 25th. birthdays on the day of the competition. The decision of the Executive Committee, or the Adjudicators acting on its behalf in any matter concerning the competition, is final and binding upon all parties, and this is an agreed condition of entry in all competitions.
