Statement of Principles, 1990
NAC strives for equality and justice for all
women and works in Canada for the removal of
barriers to women's full economic, social,
cultural, legal and political participation. NAC
emphasizes the concerns of minority and poor
women} and recognizes that social, political and
economic systems affect different women in
different ways. We believe that these systems
must change in order to achieve social and
economic justice. NAC opposes militarism, and
works in ways which are anti-sexist, anti-racist,
anti-heterosexist and which preserve feminist'
principles and the dignity of women.

REGULATIONS
1 A group is eligible for membership in NAC if it
has ten or more members and subscribes to the
stated objectives of the organization.
2 Government departments and agencies are not
eligible for membership.

3 Annual membership fees are due on January 1
of each calendar year and will become past due
the last day of February.
4 Organizations applying to NAC after March 1
and before December 1 will receive a pro-rated
credit on the next year’s membership fee.

Federations or other organizations constituted of local
chapters or the equivalent may apply for collective
membership if at least 50% of their chapters are NAC
members. As collective members, chapters receive a
25% discount on their membership fee for the year after
the 50% criteria is met.
